Married (1) Polly Kimball Mar 22, 1797, who bore five sons and four daughters and died at Neville, Clermont Co., Ohio, Aug 13, 1815.
Married (2) Mrs. Martha Zumatt (widow of Col. Henry Zumatt) Mar 6, 1816, by whom he had one son (b. 1818, the sketch's subject).
Left Hopkinton by ox wagon Sep 1801, reached Wheeling, Va. Nov 1801, later removed to Clermont Co., Ohio.
